Instructor Indemnity Insurance Form - This is a mandatory requirement endorsed by all Martial Arts Associations, if you teach any form or Martial Art, you MUST insure yourself as a certified Instructor. (Apply directly via recommended insurance company)

Dojo Insurance Form - This insurance is for all members within a Dojo. Member to member liability Insures members of your Dojo against each other. Again if you run a Dojo, you MUST have adequate Dojo Insurance cover. (Dojo membership is £50 per annum, upto 40 members)

Insurance Policy
All Associate Members of the Karate Society have protection provided to them through their membership. This cover is provided by insurance brokers TL Risk Ltd and is placed with Royal & Sun Alliance. The policies are summarised below, if you require full terms & conditions please contact our admin department:
1. Public Liability Protection; member to member liability – up to a limit of £1,000,000.
(This will provide protection in the case another member decides to take legal action.)
2. Professional Indemnity Insurance; teach to student liability – up to a limit of £5,000,000.
(This protection is mandatory for all Martial Arts instructors, it covers claims upto the insured amount.)
Whilst Karate is inherently safe, accidents can happen and can be inevitably costly as well as time consuming. Should you have any incident that may give rise to a claim in the future, you are advised to notify the Karate Society as soon as possible. The liability cover is written on claims made basis, all incidents must be reported immediately and we will put you in touch with relevant insurance company contacts.
